一、单词记忆
这个单词是由3个部分组成的，前面的部分是tra，这个我们可以复习一下初中学习的单词，transport，这个单词中的trans是一个词根，表示across，“从一边到另一边”的意思。后面的port是港口的意思，所以transport，从一个港口到另一个港口，这个就是“运输”的意思。我们把trans后面的ns省略，tra也表示across，“从一边到另一边”的意思。
接下来我们来看一下这个单词中间的dit。我们前几天刚讲过edit，“编辑”这个单词。它是由两部分组成的，前面的字母e就相当于ex表示out，“出去”的意思，后面的dit是一个词根，表示“赠送，给予”的意思。所以edit就是给出去的意思，书籍，文章就是作者给出去，进行了“编辑，校订”后再进行出版，发表的。
tra，从一边到另一边，这里应该是从一代到另一代，dit，“给”，后面加上ion，名词后缀，tradition就是一代一代给下来的东西，这个就是“传统”。
